General Michel Sulaiman today became elected State President of Lebanon by a vote of the parliament. Tomorrow, a new Prime Minister will get appointed, who then has to form the new coalition cabinet. Looks as if things in Lebanon are on the way to stabilisation

The latest today is that Sa'ad Hariri of the Future Party (Sunni) is to become the new Prime Minister of Lebanon. The official appointment will be later today or some time tomorrow. Sa'ad Hariri is the son of late Rafiq Hariri who had re-built Beirut after 1990.
